Food and School

Every child benefits from a nutritionally sound diet. Starting their day with a healthy breakfast will provide them with the energy required to optimize their ability to pay attention, concentrate and learn.

To maintain focus and energy levels, all students have the opportunity for a mid-morning snack. Please provide your child with a healthy choice such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers, etc. (no cookies, chips or candy, please)

Lunch also should be a healthy choice and an appropriately sized portion. Remember a drink (no soda) and utensils as needed.

Children are not allowed to share food in school.

Classroom celebrations that may include food must be safe for every student, including those with food allergies and must comply with district nutritional guidelines.
